Korean superstitions you may wonder about.

Korean superstitions you may wonder about.

No way!

1. No eggs or seaweed soup on exam day.

No eggs No seaweed soup

Both eggs (yolks and whites) and seaweed are slippery. Probably Koreans may associate the flowing and slippery characteristics of them with metaphorically slipping on exam. But I am a Christian and don't believe that kind of superstition. Rather, I make it a rule to eat them on a big examination day since both of them are helpful for my digestion.

How soft and yummy.

2. Don't shake your legs.

In fact, shaking your legs psychologically means that the person is a little bit nervous and stressful. The sight of shaking your legs under the table cannot make any good impression.
Therefore, Koreans think shaking your legs can throw good fortune away.I think, no matter what country you live in, it's advisable to try to calm your legs down.

3.Pig dreams or president ones bring us good luck.

Pig dreams represent good signs.

Actually, statistically, the Korean lottery winners say they had president dreams prior to the jackpot. And traditionally pig dreams in Korea have represented good signs. As far as I know, the more pigs, the better. And it is believed that the pigs running toward your arms are the best.
