Am I pretty enough to live in korea?

Once I heard that a woman left Korea saying she's not pretty enough to live in Korea.Back then, I regarded the statement as a kind of joke. However, for some reason, I could relate to what she said.

Foreigners living in Korea often say they were surprised when they first saw most Korean girls who were passing by on the street wearing perfect make-up and flawless outfits from head to toe.

Good coordination for perfect looks

In fact, we can't deny that Koreans have placed too much emphasis on how they look.

My young nephews still tend to rate womens' looks on a scale of A.B.C when they have blind dates.

I always say ,"Hey~guys! Look yourself in the mirror"

There is a well-known joke in Korea.

"What is your ideal woman type?"

The answer is....
Men in their 20s ---pretty girls
Men in their 30s---pretty girls
Men in their 50s---pretty girls
Men in their 70s --pretty girls

Though it is my own personal opinion, nothing compares to korean girls when it comes to average beautiful looks on Instagram. Plus we have even magical beauty apps.

I was the kind of person who rarely went out without make-up before Covid-19. But not any longer. I don't need to put on make up because a mask literally masks my imperfect bare face.
How convenient!

It was an eye-opening experience to go to work without make-up in my life.

I can't wait to put on a red lipstick on my lips.

According to some cosmetic companies, the sales of lipsticks have been on the decrease while eye make-up items have been on the rise since the Corona virus outbreak. Who could enjoy gorgeous glossy sexy red lipsticks with their masks on?

I can't wait to put on a red lip stick on my lips.
